Free Consultation and Examination
Your process begins with a free, one-on-one consultation with our team. We use digital X-rays and, where needed, 3D cone beam CT scans (charged separately) to assess jawbone density, gum health, and overall oral condition. This information allows us to create a personalised treatment plan to perform virtual placement of your implants before surgery.
Dental Implant Placement
This is a surgical phase. In this phase, we will place the dental implants into the jawbone. This procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, with optional sedation for your comfort. Our implant dentist carefully creates a small opening in the gum tissue to access the jawbone and places a small titanium implant into the jawbone, which will serve as the new root for your tooth. The gum is then closed and allowed to heal over time.
Osseointegration
Osseointegration is the healing phase that follows your implant placement. Your jawbone can take a few months to heal and grow around your implant, forming a strong foundation. At this stage, a temporary tooth may be placed so that you can eat and smile comfortably. Once healing is complete, the implant can support a crown, bridge, or denture designed to provide ongoing function and support.
Abutment Placement

How Long Does Recovery Take?

Are Dental Implants Painful?

If an implant does fail, Dr Vireena Koshal will assess the implant location, identify the cause, and discuss your options. In many cases, once the area has fully healed, a replacement implant can be considered, subject to clinical assessment.
