The tooth bonding procedure

The dental bonding procedure typically takes 30 to 60 minutes per tooth, and anaesthesia is usually not needed.

Steps in the process are:

The surface of the tooth is roughened slightly and coated with a conditioning liquid to ensure good adhesion for the composite resin
The tooth-coloured dental plastic composite is applied to the tooth and shaped
A laser or an ultraviolet light is used to harden the composite material
The composite is trimmed and polished to match the rest of the tooth surface

Dental composite bonds can last several years and require no special care, but you need to maintain good oral hygiene by:
