Implants from only $5000

Dental Implants Perth

Dental implants are a highly effective way to replace single or multiple missing teeth. They are also the perfect solution to stabilize loose and ill-fitting dentures. Dental implants are the “gold standard” in replacing teeth and have a long term proven track record of success.

When Do I Need Dental Implants?

Dental implants may be required for a number of scenarios:

  • Single missing tooth – if you have lost a single tooth then a single implant can be placed in this site to easily replace this tooth. This is an excellent long-term solution to replace a missing tooth.
  • Multiple missing teeth – if you have lost a number of teeth in a certain area of your mouth then these teeth can be replaced by placing multiple implants and individual crowns, or bridgework.
  • Full mouth rehabilitation – if you have lost all your teeth in one or both arches of your mouth, or if it has been decided that all your teeth need extracting then it may be possible to replace all of your missing teeth with multiple implants and fixed bridgework. An example of this is the well-known All On Four concept, where 4 or more implants are placed in your upper or lower jaw to give you back your teeth with a fixed bridge or denture. The implants are placed in a strategic and guided manner and within 72 hours a temporary prosthesis can be fixed onto them. 3-6 months later the permanent bridge can be fixed to the implants. If you have an ill-fitting denture, or your teeth need removing and you are looking for a permanent solution, then this concept is perfect for you. Often a fewer number of implants are needed, which also reduces the cost of this life changing procedure.
  • Loose and ill-fitting dentures – people who wear dentures can often find that they are not secure enough to eat and speak comfortably. Often by placing as little as two implants you can secure your denture very tightly so that you can eat and speak with 100% confidence your denture will not move. You will once again be able to enjoy a good steak or bite into a crusty bread roll!
In any of these cases, dental implants can have quite a dramatic improvement on the quality of people’s lives.

How Successful Are Dental Implants?

The success rates usually depend on where the implants are placed. In the lower jaw, the success rate is very high (98%). The further back in the mouth, the success rate can drop but is generally very high and well above 90%. If you are a smoker then the success rate can usually drop by 10%. With such high success rates and with very careful planning and maintenance, dental implants can last up to a lifetime.

How Long Does The Whole Process Take?

Dental implants are placed in a staged manner. The first stage will involve the placement of the dental implant itself. This is simple surgery often performed in under an hour, under local anaesthetic, in the dental chair. Once this has been placed, the implant must be left undisturbed for three to six months. This also time for the bone to fuse to the implant so that it becomes fully integrated to the jawbone.

Does It Hurt?

Dental implants are placed under local anaesthetic, therefore you will not feel any pain or discomfort. Once the anaesthetic has worn off you may experience mild discomfort and/or swelling, but this is usually easily managed with simple pain killers.

Making Implants More Affordable:

At Perth Dental Rooms, we are aware that dental implants are expensive and not financially viable for some. As a result, we have worked hard with some of the world’s leading implant manufacturers to help reduce our implant prices. Located in Perth’s CBD, we are currently offering a single implant, restored with a ceramic crown, from only $5000. We are still using market leading implant systems so you can be confident that you are receiving the best implant treatment, at the best prices.

Below are some examples of typical implant prices and treatment codes:

The majority of implant cases will require a 3D Cone Beam scan as part of the treatment planning process. This is performed at our clinic. If you have private health insurance then you will usually receive a rebate.

Implant treatments are normally completed in 2 stages:

Stage 1 – Surgical placement of the implant.
Code 684 – $2000 (per implant)
Stage 2 – Placement of implant abutment and crown
Code 661 – $1000 (per abutment)
Code 672 – $1000 (per crown)

NB: if the site requires any form of bone or soft tissue graft to aid in the long-term success of the implant, this may incur further costs. This will be discussed following an initial consultation and relevant x-rays and/or scans.

These codes can be quoted to your private health insurer to find out your rebate. Remember to inform them if we are a preferred provider for your fund!

At Perth Dental Rooms we are preferred providers for HBF, Medibank Private, BUPA, NIB and HCF. We are also affiliated with Smile.com.
Following an initial consultation, we will be able to tailor an individual plan and itemise the complete cost of your treatment so you will be fully aware of all costs before starting your treatment.
